Making Space for Slow Mornings
I know the intention of slow mornings is probably… not having to clock in at all.
But here I am—working from home, which I truly do consider a blessing—and still rushing into the day like I’ve got somewhere to be.
No gentle start.
No space to breathe.
Just waking up at the last possible minute and dragging myself straight into work-mode. It’s not giving ease. It’s giving survival.
And honestly? I want better for myself.
This week, I’m committing to creating a slow morning routine that actually works for me. Nothing overly aesthetic or unrealistic. Just something that lets me transition gently between rest and responsibility.
Maybe that looks like:
• Sitting with a warm cup of tea instead of grabbing my laptop first
• Playing soft music while I move through my skincare routine
• Journaling for 5 minutes before checking emails
• Saying a prayer. Stretching. Breathing.
Nothing wild. Just more intentional.
Because the first moments of my day set the tone. And I don’t want my life—or my creativity—to always feel like a reaction to urgency.
If you’ve been craving slower mornings too, maybe this is your nudge.
