Today marks exactly one year since I was approved for onsite commissions in the Amazon Influencer Program.
I remember it clearly: I had just wrapped up a mommy-daughter trip to LA and was boarding my flight home. I submitted my three required videos before the trip and honestly didn’t know what to expect. Mid-flight routine kicked in, and I checked my email. There it was: “Approved.” On the first try.
I was so excited. That approval felt like a sign that I’d done something right, and more importantly, that a new chapter in my content creation journey was officially beginning.
Now, one year later, I’ll be real with you: I haven’t reached my full potential. I know there’s so much more in me to give. But what I have done is learn—a lot.
I’ve learned the importance of consistency. Uploading regularly matters more than I thought. I’ve learned that sharing your links offsite—on your socials, blog, email list, everywhere—is just as important as the content itself.
This year flew by, and this milestone is my reminder to keep going. To keep growing. Because a year from now, I want to look back and say, “Whew, look how far I’ve come since then.”
If you're on your own journey as a creator, let this be a gentle nudge: stay with it. The growth isn’t always loud, but it’s happening.
