Y’all… I’m excited. But also? NERVOUS.
Recently I got super intentional about wanting to grow and stretch—and I asked God to put me in rooms with people I can truly learn from. People who inspire me. People who are already walking the path I’m stepping onto.
Well… let’s just say He heard me loud and clear.
I’m attending two events coming up that I’m really excited about. Some of the creators attending? Whew. I’ve followed them, admired them, and been inspired by them. And now I’ll be in the same space with (some) of them.
So, naturally, my brain is spiraling:
What do I wear?
What do I say when it’s time to network?
How do I introduce myself as a creator when I feel like I have no credentials and no audience?
This is brand new territory for me. I’ve been in my 9–5 career for over 20 years, and I’m very comfortable in that space. But this? This creative journey, this showing up as me—this is new.
And even though I’m feeling nervous, I’m also so grateful.
I asked for this. I’m walking into it on purpose.
One step at a time. With shaky hands, maybe—but with a steady heart.

You are greater than you think. I’ve served with you for years and watched you cling to your passions, goals, hopes and dreams. I’ve seen your priorities and values press you forward when faced with obstacles. But it is your god-given gifts, natural talents, abilities and humility that just keeps shining through. Aren’t you glad that when we ask “Who, me?” God answers “Yes, even you. For you are not alone.”
